Making progress

Took this picture last night. I only have time to stitch approximately 1,000 stitches a week, so maybe I will be able to finish this next weekend?

Steampunk Cat

Disclaimer: I own a large number of printed items like this one. If I can locate the original pattern maker, I will go to their website or an authorized seller and purchase the pattern. Many of them I haven't found, like this one. So if you happen to know, please share the info with me.

I enjoy stitching preprinted pieces while I am on the phone with clients or when I am exhausted in the evenings. I have a learning disability that makes counted patterns almost impossible at times (dyslexia and dyscalculia).

I love the way this face came alive! I started this guy two years ago. I hope to finish him next year. He is full converge and a lot of stitches!

250 x 170=42,500 stitches

Purchased on AliExpress; pattern designer is currently unknown

Begun sometime in 2022-I only had finished the eyes before I picked it up again this spring.

Sunday Morning Hydrangeas

Cameron took some lovely pics this morning. These are from our front yard.  The pics might come in handy for color inspiration at some point. I love the differences that hydrangeas can produce from one bloom or another only a foot or two apart.

Peacock Feathers

My name is Grace and I love to stitch. The act of pulling thread through fabric is meditative, peaceful, and relaxing. It stills my overly busy mind. It brings me satisfaction. It connects me, however, distantly, to thousands of other people worldwide who also love to stitch.

I've been stitching for over 50 years. Sometimes I stitched daily and sometimes years passed between picking up my needle due to school, work, divorce, or tragedy. But I always came back back to stitching.

I stitch a bit of everything, using a wide diversity of threads, fabrics, counted or printed. I will be sharing current and sometimes past projects here, for my own records and for the joy of stitching. Sometimes I know where I got supplies and sometimes I don't. Sometimes I know that the title is, and who to credit. Sometimes I don't.

This is the project I am working on today. I started it in February 2022, completed the center and got distracted by a myriad of other equally delightful things. I've decided that I'm going to finish it over the next few weeks. I love the colors and want to frame it.
